Recipe: Blended Salted Caramel Latte (Milk-Free)


Setting the Scene:

I'm typically not a fan of anything caramel, but when my sister called and said she made a salted caramel latte that came out fantastic, I thought I would give it a go. At first I didn't think I would be able to because I had run out of milk, but she said it didn't call for any. She made up the recipe herself and I half expected to toss it down the drain, but when I tasted it I was blown away! It's sweet, but authentically so with no fake flavoring. Simple ingredients blended together turns into what I can only describe as salted caramel coffee ice cream melted in a glass.

Ingredients:

2 tbs cashews

2 dates

1 tbs real maple syrup

3/4 cup water

1 double shot espresso

Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Put all ingredients together in a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Poor over ice. Enjoy. It's that simple.
